The official trailer for Christina Aguilera’s upcoming movie ‘Burlesque’ has finally debuted:
As I stated previously, this type of movie concept has been played into the ground over and over again. However, with Ms Aguilera suffering a rough time with her music career, it will be interesting to see how she fairs in her debuting role. A positive reception is something the 29-year-old is very much in need of right now. The movie drops in theatres on November 24th.
A sneak peek look at an upcoming trailer for Christina Aguilera’s ‘Burlesque’ was aired on ET last night…
Aguilera plays a small-town girl named Ali who has dreams and aspirations in Los Angeles to pursue a successful career in showbusiness. After landing a job as a cocktail waitress in The Burlesque Lounge, owned by Tess (Cher), Ali pushes herself to take that huge leap from waitress to center-stage Burlesque star. .
It sounds like something I’ve watched over a million times. I feel she could have picked something more challenging for her first role rather than play it safe with a singing one. I guess, for now, that’s her comfort zone. Anyway, ‘Burlesque’ is set to hit US cinemas on November 24th. Peep the preview below. Continue reading →
A brand new trailer for Justin Timberlake’s new movie ‘The Social Network’ has hit online territory. Rapper Kanye West’s new single ‘Power’ is used for the theme tune:
I like the other trailer better. It will be interesting to see how the leading actor portrays the real Mark Zuckerberg (the world’s youngest self-made billionaire). After all, word has got out that he was a total douche. When he started to build his Facebook empire, he would rank the appearances of all of the girls at Harvard. .
Lastly, let me use this post to vent: Justin Timberlake, give up acting NOW and make a brand new album!
Justin Timberlake’s new movie ‘The Social Network’ premiered its full official trailer last night. The former N-Sync star, who plays Napster co-founder Sean Parker in the “unauthorized” biopic, also posted the trailer on his Twitter. The movie is directed by David Fincher and entails a concept about the founding of Facebook and the pop culture phenomenon that transpired from it.
Practically, almost every blogger and popular musician has a Facebook where they are able to connect and interact with fans, friends and family. I have one but I’m never on it. However, my sister practically lives on hers!!!! The movie looks good as it surrounds Facebook co-creator 26-year-old Mark Zuckerberg and how he became the world’s youngest billionaire after he established his Facebook empire in 2003 at University. The new SpidermanAndrew Garfield also co-stars.
As for the movie, I’m not sold on Justin Timberlake as an actor (I’ve seen a few flicks) but the story behind it is VERY fascinating. I love JT’s music and feel this is what he excels in the most. Check out the official trailer after the jump. Will you be seeing it? . Continue reading →
R&B star Chris Brown has unveiled a kick ass trailer for his self-released song titled ‘Matrix’. Check it out below:
The mini movie goes by the working name ‘12 Strands (Matrix)’. We previously reported about the video which was directed by Colin Tiley and Riveting Entertainment, the same director and company behind the singer’s ‘Deuces’ & ‘No Bullsh*t’ videos. The full clip will premiere soon on the singer’s official website MechanicalDummy.com! However, an official release date has yet to be issued. They’d better hurry up and release one because this video looks fantastic. The glossy cinematography features brilliant karate shots in which he kicks ass and gets his woman! This boy means business…
A new theatrical trailer has just been released for Janet Jackson’s new movie ‘Why Did I Get Married Too’. This is some intense stuff, and I know Janet’s emotions were tripled since she was on the movie set at the time of finding out her superstar brother had passed away (and continued filming two weeks later, according to her co-star Malika Yoba). Come April, I’ll be watching!
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer from The Karate Kid. Will and Jada’s 11-year-old son Jaden Smith replaces Ralph Macchio in the upcoming Kung-fu flick:
When I first heard that they were remaking the 1984 motion picture classic, my reaction was iffy. When I was growing up, I was a massive fan of the original. I thought Ralph Macchio was soooo cute! Plus I liked his lines: “No offense, Mr Miyajee, but I don’t think you understand my problem”. Some movies do not need to be remade and this is undoubtedly one of them. .
Maybe I’m just trying to hold onto a piece of my childhood and want to remember it the way it was. But out of curiousity, I’ll most likely see it as it looks like a cute little family movie. I liked him when he played his father’s costar in ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’. On another note, you have to applaud the Smith’s for their nepotism. .
The remake follows the same formula as the original such as the bullied youth meeting the eccentric mentor. The young lad moves to China with his mother where he embraces karate. Jaden has already been schooled in martial arts, so I guess the movie will have some sort of authencity. . The Karate Kid hits theaters on June 11th, 2010.
An interesting interview conducted by the January/Feburary issue of Playboy is one that features rapper and music mogul Diddy. He opens up about his very publicised relationship with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, which ended 8 years ago. Also, he talks about a recent celebrity fling which permitted him NOT to have that elitist type relationship again…
On Jennifer Lopez: “I’ll always cherish her. There are people who come into your life that you’ll always love and respect. She’s definitely one of them. I feel as though we changed each other’s lives. It was a different type of feeling. It was being in love with somebody who understands who you are because they are exactly like you”. .
On a more recent celebrity fling: “There was a young lady who’s an actress. She’s famous. I liked her, so I was willing to do whatever I had to do… We started spending time together, but we were prisoners of our celebrity. She took me out to dinner after we got to know each other and hit me with a line that was straight out of the movies. She said, ‘You know this will never work, right?’ I knew she was right…This was going to shake up the world. It would have been a Puff and J. Lo situation, part two”. .
I’m willing to bet some serious money that that this is either Cameron Diaz or Sienna Miller. I know I read correctly that he was creeping around wih them both. Still, there was no relationship like J.Lo and Diddy. They were huge. I liked them together – better than Beyonce and Jay-Z – and who knows, if it were not for his bitchassness, they may have lasted the distance. .
Speaking of J.Lo, here’s the official theatrical trailer for her forthcoming movie ‘The Back-up Plan’:
The romantic comedy is set to be released on April 16th, 2010.
