Last night, legendary lane came to ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’. You don’t get any bigger and better than Mariah Carey and Prince!
Mariah’s segment consisted of an interview about her lambs, American Idol and upcoming new album, which she confirmed for a May release. She played a game of Champagne Pong to celebrate Fallon’s four years on air but was completely useless at it. Prince then performed his new material giving viewers rousing performances of ‘Screwdriver’ and ‘Bambi’. Go on. Go ahead and overdose on his sexiness below!

“I’m your driver and you’re my screw!” wails Prince, over a guitar-dominated rock beat. So much sexual gratification! The track in question is a new single called ‘Screw Driver’, which the legendary pioneer debuted on his newly-launched website. The funky number is packed with lots of 80s goodness and could very well point to signs of an imminent new album.
The retro groove precedes his honorary appearance at the Billboard Music Awards in May. Oldschool heads will like ‘Screw Driver’ simply because the production sounds like vintage Prince from his ‘Parade/Purple Rain’ era. Take a listen to Prince’s latest musical offering below!

Here’s your ‘American Idol’, the king of rock ‘n’ roll! The legendary Prince is set to become the recipient of the Icon Award at the forthcoming 2013 Billboard Music Awards. On top of that, he will be performing at the ceremony. So it is only fitting that he bags himself the latest cover of Billboard magazine! I think he looks hot, even with subtle flashes of that fuzzy majesty!
The age-defying singer also unveiled his new website 20pr1nc3.com today. Seems like he has something planned in the pipeline! The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will be held at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena and broadcast live on May 19th on ABC!

If anyone deserves an honoury tribute, it’s the legendary Prince! The man has put out timeless music over a career that has spanned several decades and he’s sold over 100 million records worldwide. So we totally rejoice at the announcement that he will be honoured at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards!
For the live ABC broadcast, the ceremony returns to Las Vegas on May 19th, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Prince will be presented with the Billboard Icon Award. It gets even better. He will also perform at the show too, and I’m sure he will rock the house down! Now THIS people, is something to get excited about!

Hurry! Watch this while you can, before Prince puts a block on it. The legendary diva performed his latest single, ‘Rock & Roll Love Affair’ for the first time on television. While he rocked the house down, the pint-sized singer looked cool in round sunglasses, lemon-coloured bell-bottoms and a fringe gold jacket. Powerhouse Jennifer Hudson joins the legendary Prince at his ‘Welcome 2 Tour’ in Chicago. The duo perform his classic ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, the very song he performed with veteran Mary J. Blige at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival several days ago.

Just about bearable, if at all. We know she can sing but the excessive screaming can always spoil what could have been a stellar performance. I would like there to be a time where we see her actually SING a song instead of screaming it. Hopefully, there weren’t too many glass windows around.

Two songs. Two legends. Mary J. Blige shocked fans during day two of the iHeart Radio Music festival in Las Vegas last night by bringing out the one and only Prince! The legendary duo performed a live rendition of Chaka Khan & Rufus’ ‘Sweet Thing’, a song that Mary covered on her 1991 debut album ‘What’s The 411?’. They also performed ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, a song that Prince wrote before it became an international smash for Sinead O’Conner. Watch all the action below!

Gwen Stefani joins Prince on stage at his ’21 Nights In L.A.’ tour…

Alicia Keys is not the only diva who got to duet with the legendary Prince at his ’21 Nights In L.A.’ tour. Over the weekend, he was joined on stage by the uber fabulous Gwen Stefani on April 30th. No Doubt‘s frontwoman took to the stage to perform their duet ‘So Far, So Pleased’. The cut is lifted from Prince’s 1999 ‘Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic’ album.
The track was set to be released as a single, but this was scrapped due to No Doubt’s label refusing to grant permission. The reasoning? They did not want to confuse fans with the band’s ‘Return of Saturn’ release. And on that note, at least we get to see them perform it 12 years later. Was it all worth it? Hell yeah! Gwen owned it! “Beauty personified. Miss Alicia Keys. Don’t move!” said a suave Prince, as he escorted the aforementioned R&B songstress off the stage.
Alicia Keys certainly lived out her dream over the weekend (April 22nd). The 30-year-old sang with her idol, the legendary Prince at his 21-residency Los Angeles concert. They duetted on his hit ‘How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore?’, which she went on to remake for her 2001 debut ‘Songs In A Minor’. This was probably done to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of that very album and you never know, we might even see the footage when she drops the special re-release in June.
Is anyone missing AK? I know I am. There has been so much disappointments in music lately, that her comeback later this year is even more anticipated on my side. Ms Keys will also be returning to the stage when she performs at this years BET Awards.

Prince delivered the fire at his LA gig last night. The legendary singer kicked off his 21 day trek at the Forum where he tributed the late great Michael Jackson. The superstar’s classic 1979 hit ‘Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough’ recieved it’s own unique make-over by the Purple One.
During his astonishing three hour set, he brought out Hollywood actress Eva Longoria who danced beside him. Luckily for her, she didn’t recieve the Kim Kardashian treatment! Peep all of the energetic action below! Good stuff.

Prince has arrived people!
Boys have their favourite MILF’s. Well, us chicks have our FILF’s. Not the most flattering expression to describe the iconic singer but dirty thoughts DO come to mind whenever this man graces our TV screens. The rock ‘n’ roll music legend paid a visit to ‘Lopez Tonight’ last night alongside New Power Generation and his former bandmate, percussionist Sheila E. The singer even debuted new song ‘Laydown’ and had everyone on their feet throughout the mini concert.
Prince made his stunning entrance through a mass of smoke, and displayed a walk to the stage so powerful and dramatic, we just knew the entire performance would be an orgasmic one. The crazy thing is, Prince is so well groomed, from the careful straightening and tonging of his hair, to the way he moves in stilettoes and the capturing of his sparkly gold ensemble, right down to the luscious mascara on his eyelashes! No one says anything because he’s thee Prince. He’s the only one that can pull it off and not be questioned. The fact is, Prince has more diva in him than any other female artist I know of! The ‘Beautiful Ones’ performance was world class. Alongside putting those sexy falsetto vocals to high volume, Prince started writhing around ontop of his piano. While pursuing some beautiful ballet dancer, he also busted out a couple of cool moves. The star has since kicked off his 21-day concert residency in Los Angeles and with performances like these, concertgoers are in for a real treat.

“Nothing compares 2 U” was written in the 1980’s by the one and only Prince. It was for the family band he created as an outlet to release more of his music. “Nothing Compares To You” appeared on their self titled album “The Family” but it was never released as a single. It did get a little recognition. However, it was later made famous by singer Sinead O’ Connor who covered the song. The song hit number one in many countries. The lyrics are so heartfelt and deep. Prince sang it with so much passionate and soul, Rosie Gaines killed it also. Check it out.

If you attend a Prince concert and you’re not prepared to shake what you’re mother blessed you with, be prepared to get kicked off the stage! Hollywood socialite Kim Kardashian found out the hard way when she was brought up on stage to join the legendary Prince at his sold out Madison Square Garden concert last night. She later defended herself on her twitter: “I was so nervous I froze when Prince touched me!”
However the 52-year-old relented and invited her back on stage again, where she made up for being extremely nervous. Prince was having a ball and was trying to find the ultimate woman to shake it for him! You best believe it but if it was my butt on that stage, I’d be shaking it until the cows came home! Prince set to perform on The X Factor Finale…

If the latest reports are true that Simon Cowell has managed to snag the iconic Prince for this years X Factor finale, British fans are in for a real treat. Reportedly, Cowell has been trying to convince the pint sized legend to appear on the show for years and it seems he managed to get his man. The Daily Mail reports that the singer will fly to London during a break in his ‘Welcome 2 America’ US concert tour in December, to make time for the all important slot.
It won’t be the first time Prince and Cowell crossed paths. Prince also performed ‘Satisfied’ on the season five finale of American Idol and infuriated Cowell after he refused to sing with any of the contestants: “It just tells you how selfish he is” came his criticism back in 2006. “He comes on, not a word – ‘I’m not gonna sing with anybody else, I’m not gonna say goodbye’. Thank you for your generosity, Prince”.
The man is WHO he is. He is allowed to act as diva as he wants, and the fact that he agreed to perform on the show should have been more than enough. That is why I love Prince. He is the BIGGEST diva of ALL divas. Mariah Carey has NOTHING on him. I can’t wait to see him in his fiercesome stilettoes rocking the stage again!
Prince announces US tour!

The legendary Prince has just announced an upcoming US tour which is set to kick off in December!
According to the Associated Press, the tour will feature himself, his band and other performers such as Janelle Monae, Sheila E, Mint Condition, Lalah Hathaway and many more. The 52-year-old made the announcement last night (Oct 14th) at New York’s famed Apollo Theater, dubbing it ‘Welcome 2 America’.
The iconic singer urges his supporters to “Bring your friends, bring your children, and bring foot spray, because it’s going to be funky. Peace!” This man is literally, and I mean LITERALLY, sex on legs! You just know his show will be electrifying!

I listened to the album and it’s an infectious mix of 80s Pop, funk, rock, soul and new wave. Whilst I’m not that crazy about some of theose retro-style uptempos, the slow cuts were absolutely spot on. For example, I cannot get enough of ‘Future Love Song’. Bloody amazing! Prince just kicked Justin Timberlake‘s butt and took back what was rightfully his.

The crowds roared in ecstatic excitement when Stevie Wonder and Prince occupied the same stage to perform the Wonder classic ‘Superstition’ at Paris Bercy in France last night (July 1st). At the Stevie gig, they were also joined by 80s singer Sheila E. Prince got his sexy on whilst rocking out on the electric guitar, and Stevie did his thing on the piano.

Ooh La La! Prince could serenade a chick all night with his instrument! Watching him play can make a woman feel like her abdomen area is sizzling like a pork joint on a spit! Definetely a night to rememer for all the concertgoers. Priceless stuff!

After receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards, the legendary Prince is set to release his new album this year. The record which comprises of the Funk and New Wave hybrid, is titled ’20Ten’. The LP will hit stores on July 22nd and on July 10th in Europe. The official album cover was unveiled yesterday. Prince to receive BET Lifetime Achievement Award…

Legendary singer Prince will reportedly receive the Lifetime Achievement accolade at the BET Awards 2010. The 52-year-old superstar will now join other black legends such as Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, James Brown, and Al Green in being honoured by the BET Awards. The ceremony will celebrate its 10th year in Los Angeles on June 27th. Stephen G. Hill, who is the president of programming, music and specials for the BET network, says: “Prince is dynamic. Prince is genius. Prince is music”. Source.
After the horrible Michael Jackson tribute they gave us last year, this one should be decent and quite extragavant. Then again ‘extravagant’ and ‘BET’ should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. Pst! Who am I kidding?
