Britney Spears shot scenes for her ‘Glee’ episode yesterday (August 18th), and she wants everyone to know she had “so much fun on set”. The singer even released the very first onset photo:

“Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode!” she writes enthusiastically. The shoot was said to be a success, and fans will be ecstatic to know that they finally got ther Britney ep. It’s not yet known when the episode will premiere but I don’t doubt it will be just as entertaining as Madonna and Lady Gaga’s.

Britney Spears is coming to Glee! No, she’s NOT being played by another actress. Thee REAL Britney is making a Glee appearance! Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the exciting news to Ryan Seacrest. Source. Source.

“She is pop culture, it’s going to be kind, not about her personal life” says Murphy of the upcoming episode “You know she’s been through a lot, but we want to do this episode to say thank you very much for all you’ve done and we’re encouraging you to continue being as fantastic as you are”.

“She’s gonna come and join us and do a couple of scenes. I think Britney, 100 percent, is going to be on the episode. [This episode] is so reverential, so kind and about her music. We’re handling Britney with kids gloves”. So there you have it. 100% official! Yay!

Glee creators have infuriated the fans of Britney Spears after it was officially confirmed that they plan to mock her previous meltdown. The leading character Will Schuester will shave his head for the upcoming Britney Spears-themed episode.

“The recreating of Brit shaving her head is going to be epic!” reveals a source, exclusively to Just Jared. This week, Glee creator Ryan Murphy also announced during the TCA press tour that they plan to pay tribute to her in “a sort of fun and unexpected way”. The report was then confirmed by Life & Style who reveal that a casting call DID go out on July 28th for a double for Schuester which read “Must be willing to shave your head on camera”.

I can’t believe they’re doing that. What was suppose to be a really fun episode is now set to become an insulting farce. I know I would not want anyone making fun of my mental illness on one of America’s most popular show. I’m sure that’s one dark chapter in her life she has no desire to look back on, especially with a TV show set to make fun of it. Mental illness is no joke, people. I wonder how her family feel about it. Screw that, I wonder how she feels about it. Hopefully, her fans bombard them with negative complaints so that they’re forced to ditch the head-shaving scene completely.

On the musical front, Britney’s manager Adam Leber has cleared up speculation on her new album after Darkchild said her fans would be excited in a few weeks. He says: “Brit has a new mag cover & spread coming out in the next month or so which is going to be SICK! Will let Brit reveal the details herself. The guys that ARE working on Brit’s next album ARE NOT talking about it. No new music news right now. Wish people wouldn’t mislead you guys with BS info. Not cool!” Source.

It seems the creators are pulling out all the stops to ensure this episode is as big as the Madonna one or larger. Britney will NOT be making a personal appearance, but I think many of us knew that already. However, her music videos will be recreated and her costumes will be imitated. I’m alreading picturing the ponytails and controversial school uniform from the ‘Baby One More Time’ video. Cornfest but fun!

After the announcement that pop star Britney Spears was getting her own ‘Glee’ episode, speculation was rife on whether or not she would be appearing on the show. As of now however, speculation can now be put to bed.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirms: “We’re doing an episode about Britney Spears, but she’s not on the show” he told E! Online. “It’s not like anything we’ve ever done. There’s a twist on it”. Source.

I’m an undercover Britney fan so I’m totally looking forwards to a Britney episode. I also found the Madonna one quite endearing and I’m sure the Britney ep will be just as endearing and so much more. One person who won’t be rejoicing at this news is Glee actor Matthew Morrison who publicly made it known he would not embrace a Britney episode if one would ever be written. Looks like he was outnumbered! Payback would be to have him churning out ‘Hit Me Baby, One More Time’!!!!
