Will Chris Brown EVER get his act together?
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown
For someone that wants us to know he’s a changed man, Chris Brown has certainly done himself no favours this week. He’s not even my son but I would love to give him a good old bitch slap and put his hot-headed butt right into place!
The 23-year-old made many a negative headline this week. First one being, he was caught on camera cursing out a valet after he was ordered to pay a $10 parking fee (yes, we can understand the average Joe going off but you’re an effing millionaire so $10 should come as absolutely nothing, unless you’re going broke). The next bad episode is Chris reportedly kicking his long-term body guard Big Pat off a flight.
And then have him take another one after some dispute. And the third, (yes, there’s a third negative story), he hopped on stage at the Emerson Theatre in Hollywood last night where he went on a profanity-filled anti-Drake rant. That was spurred on when a woman DJ started spinning Drake’s song, ‘Started from the Bottom’. It was only recently he made negative headlines for his violent brawl with fellow R&B crooner Frank Ocean.
He will never be a favourite with the media (and other celebrities) simply because of the 2009 incident. That will stay with him for the rest of his life, no matter how much he tries to convince us that he’s a changed man. And these latest episodes do not show us he’s changed at all. The anger issues are clearly in full effect, giving media further ammunition to tear him down again. Any sensible person would just keep a low profile until they are ready to drop their new music. But for Chris Brown, that’s simply too much to ask. Going back to Rihanna has done him no favours because their relationship will always be viewed in contempt and he almost lost his career.
He actually had something good with Karrueche Tran, now infamously known as Rice Cake thanks to Rihanna and Melissa. Their relationship was actually care-free, had no controversy attached to it, and she was actually a sweetheart. But you can’t root for someone who is not willing to make way in return. Given that he started out with so much potential and promise, it’s really sad to see what he’s become.

A new way to introduce team Breezy to his upcoming sixth studio album is through a docu-visual, expressing desire to go back to where it all started. That includes pre-Rihanna incident where Chris Brown‘s life was full of reign and not the vindictive media struggle that it is today.
The reflective clip, which is called ‘Home’, sees the singer globe trotting as he plays out multiple concerts, entertains the fans and enjoys the party scene with friends. Chris is preparing to drop his new album later this year. Until then, check out Breezy reflecting on his journey below.

“What’s love without tragedy?”
And given the tragic circumstance that happened during the Grammy Awards four years ago, it’s really nice to see a picture of genuine happiness!!!! This photo is just so daggone cayute! Makes me really hope Rihanna and Chris Brown last the distance this time! Good luck to both of them in their relationship!

Roc Nation’s pre-Grammy brunch in Los Angeles was attended by reunited couple Rihanna and Chris Brown, who were pictured sharing an affectionate moment! Rihanna sat in between Jay-Z and Timbaland while tucking into a fried chicken meal. Also seated at her table were Kelly Rowland, Christina Milian, The Dream, Ester Dean and Anthony Mandler. Earlier that day, Chris was involved in a car accident after he was “aggressively” cornered by paparazzi. Nice to know he’s okay and was able to attend the brunch in one peace!
According to Billboard, Rihanna will perform her ‘Unapologetic’ album cut ‘Love Without Tragedy’ at tonight’s Grammy Awards. Her stage collaboration with Sting and Bruno Mars will be a presumed mega-medley of ‘Message In A Bottle,’ ‘Love Without Tragedy’ and ‘Locked Out Of Heaven,’ respectively.

Frank Ocean offers ‘forgiveness’ to Chris Brown in new statement…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean has released a statement to his Tumblr addressing his now infamous car park brawl with Chris Brown. It states that he will not be pressing any criminal charges or filing for a civil lawsuit. Read it below!
AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN. BUT AS A MAN I AM NOT A KILLER. I’M AN ARTIST AND A MODERN PERSON. I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM. PEACE, ALBEIT TRITE, IS WHAT I WANT IN MY SHORT LIFE. PEACE.
Good. Because if charges were filed, it would have meant Chris violated his probation. Of course that is the last thing he needs in this point of his short, disruptive life. Now can they just put the focus back into the music for crying out loud? I’m sick and tired reading about their childish antics.
Rihanna on Chris Brown: “He doesn’t have luxury of f*cking up again”…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, Rihanna
When Rihanna and Chris Brown broke up in 2009, it certainly wasn’t on their terms. They even tried to get back together shortly after “the incident”. Photos of Chris putting on his silly happy face while jet-skiing at Diddy‘s house (with Rihanna hidden inside) are still unforgettable.
Rihanna was pressured to dump him due to fears of career suicide and was encouraged to play ambassador for domestic abuse victims. So, they broke up, dated different people, and now that things have died down, they decided to finish off what circumstances didn’t allow them to. Read what Rihanna had to say about their reconciliation in Rolling Stone below.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy. I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now.
We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that. He doesn’t have the luxury of fucking up again. That’s just not an option.
I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
Frank Ocean responds to his LA studio fight with Chris Brown…

According to TMZ, Chris Brown and Frank Ocean got into a fight last night at Westlake Studio in L.A. As Chris tried to leave, Ocean and his crew blocked him. Ocean reportedly said, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot.” Chris extended a handshake to Ocean but one of his people attacked him. A friend of Chris then hit Frank’s friend, before the night turned into a massive brawl and police had to be called. No one was arrested.
Ocean then tweeted: “Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys (lol). I only wish Everest was there”, adding, “Cut my finger, now I can’t play with two hands at the Grammys.” The pair previously had a public twitter feud in 2011. Do better, fellas!

Chris Brown & Rihanna working on FOURTH collaboration…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, Rihanna
It is not news that Chris Brown is dropping a new album later this year. And he’s been instagramed in the lab several times in January, cooking up a music treat for team Breezy. On Thursday night, he was reportedly spotted with reunited girlfriend Rihanna departing from a Los Angeles based recording studio. Chris’s rep has also confirmed that ANOTHER collaboration is in deed in the works. This will serve as their fourth collaboration of sorts for the controversial pair (or you can count five if you include the ‘Umbrella/Cinderella’ remix).
They have already collaborated on ‘Nobodies Business’, which appears on Rihanna’s latest album ‘Unapologetic’, and they did his ‘n’ her remixes for ‘Turn Up the Music’ and ‘Birthday Cake’. I think ‘Nobodies Business’ is such a jam so I’m definitely here for it. But the question is, are you?

Showing some support for his protege, Chris Brown stops by BET’s 106 & Park to surprise his aspiring new solo artist, Sevyn Streeter. The young starlet talks about the musical direction of her debut album which will be very urban and R&B. She also premiered the music video for latest single ‘I Like It’. I do, actually. I’ve liked everything from Sevyn. Yours truly looks forward to seeing what she brings this year outside of providing backing vocals for her blonde haired mentor.

You don’t get captions more damaging than this. As much as I hate TMZ, they’re just stating what a lot of people are thinking.

Rihanna and her boyfriend Chris Brown were spotted on January 2nd after spending their new years together – in bed! Seems not everyone is willing to forget, and well, the anniversary of ‘the incident’ IS approaching after all.

On December 30th, Chris Brown performed at a Peace concert in Abidjan, Ivory coast. This was the final show of his ‘Carpe Diem’ tour before he spends New Years with his sweetheart Rihanna. Earlier that day, the on-again couple were seen stepping off a plane as they prepared for his last show. Rihanna looked very casual in sweatpants and sunglasses. It was initially reported that Breezy was in town for the KORA Awards (African Grammys) but the committee announced that he wouldn’t be able to receive his award because he was performing at the Peace concert, which was held at the same time. Instead they broadcasted a video of him performing a high octane showing of ‘She Ain’t You’ at the Felix stadium last night.

Check it out below.

Fresh from her vacation in Barbados, Rihanna and her “baby” Chris Brown spent time together on Christmas day! The on-off couple watched the Lakers basketball game against the Knicks in Los Angeles today at the Staples Centre. It also squashes those dreaded rumours about their supposed split due to Chris allegedly cheating on Rihanna with his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Sigh. They’re certainly putting on quite the front, but something about their relationship screams unhealthy to me. It aint nobody’s business, I guess.

Rihanna’s face is always a picture of happiness when she’s with Breezy. “C*ck is where the home is.”

Frank Ocean & Miguel lead Grammy nominations, Chris Brown gets one too…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, Frank Ocean, Miguel, The 55th Annual Grammy Awards
Triumphant Frank Ocean was nominated for six Grammy Awards last night including all of the major categories, while ‘Adorn’ singer Miguel came close behind with five. Chris Brown bagged one too!

Ocean hit it big with latest album ‘channel Orange’ snagging Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Urban Contemporary Album. He is also nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video for ‘No Church in the Wild’ with Jay-Z and Kanye West. Ocean pretty much got the Grammy’s in the bag and he will at least take one home.
Miguel released his sophomore album ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ in October and managed to score a total of five nominations. Most of them stem from the hit singles ‘Adorn’ and ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’, the latter is a collaboration with Wale. He is nominated for Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Rap Song.
Chris Brown will compete with both Ocean and Miguel for Best Urban Contemporary Album with ‘Fortune.’ Such a feat means that he has received a Grammy Award nomination for every album era of his career. Out of the three albums, I vote Miguel.
I think Miguel had a really solid album this year. Ocean had some nice music too and as talented as he is, I’m starting to realise just how overrated the album really is. The album’s success had a lot to do with him publicly coming out and I don’t think it would have done as well. Smart PR move. I’m still happy for him and hope he cleans up next year.
The 55th Grammy Awards takes place on February 10th in Los Angeles.
Snapshot: Rihanna hugs Chris Brown in new Instagram photo…

“Home is where the c*ck is,” says Rihanna, right before she posted this photo of herself hugging on-again boyfriend Chris Brown.

The photo, which she posted to Instagram, came with a caption that read: “[Chris] I don’t wanna leave!!! Killed it tonight baby!!!” She has been trailing him all over Europe as he embarks on his ‘Capre Diem’ tour. Despite Breezy deleting his twitter this week, he is still very active on Instagram, using the social network to post pictures of his and Rihanna‘s matching Rolex watches.
It’s nobody’s business.
New Music: Chris Brown – ‘W.T.F.I.M.L’…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, New Music, New Song
The Marijuana-loving singer drops a new cut called ‘W.T.F.I.M.L’, (Where the F*ck Is My Lighter), a hazy, electro-infused anthem to all the stoners out there trying to release some steam.

The auto-tune heavy number is rumored to be lifted from an upcoming mixtape as he puts further touches to his next studio album.
Brown deleted his twitter this week after trading bitter insults with comedy writer Jenny Johnson but if this is the best he can come up with, he should consider removing himself from the music scene completely.

Sadly, his music gets worse with each passing album and the auto-tune gets more thicker and layered.
I’ve always rooted for him after he almost lost his career, but now he no longer cares about putting out quality music so why should anyone give it the time of day? He seriously needs to put down the weed and go back to putting out the solid body of work we know he’s capable of.

Rihanna was in Berlin last night where she spent Thanksgiving watching her man Chris Brown play a concert during his ‘Carpe Diem’ tour. She later showed up at his afterparty which took place at Berlin nightclub Adagio. She tweeted about it too. This is only just the beginning. Chrihanna is officially BACK!

New Music: Rihanna feat. Chris Brown – ‘Nobody’s Business’…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, New Music, New Song, Rihanna
Alleged couple Chris Brown and Rihanna pair up on yet another headline-grabbing duet titled ‘Nobody’s Business.’

The controversial number is lifted from the latter’s seventh album ‘Unapologetic’, where Ri tells her reunited boyfriend: “You’ll always be my boy. I’ll always be your girl. It ain’t nobody’s business, but mine and my baby.” The retro-flavoured number has some disco influences and interpolates the lyrics from Brown’s idol, Michael Jackson’s ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’.
The song has widely been referred to as the new ‘Something in Common’, a 1993 collaboration between the late great Whitney Houston and her then-husband Bobby Brown. The 24-year-old has been compared to Whitney when she was facing her darkest days.
Over a catchy beat and overly-processed (auto-tuned) vocals, ‘Nobody’s Business’ is an answer back to the mass/media criticism over her alleged decision to get back with her abuser.
At this point, does anyone else care any more? The uptempo number was produced by The-Dream and Los da Mystro. Rihanna’s new album ‘Unapologetic’ will drop in stores on November 19th.
New Music: Chris Brown – ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ (first single from new album)…
Posted by Toya | Filed under Chris Brown, New Music, New Song
Chris Brown debuted a new song today from his upcoming new album ‘Carpe Diem’. The track is called ‘Nobody’s Perfect’, and it received its first play on L.A. radio station Power 106 earlier this morning. Similarly, he is featured on a cut called ‘Nobody’s Business’, a duet with Rihanna on her new album ‘Unapologetic’. The 23-year-old is preparing to release HIS new album during the first quarter of 2013.

‘Nobody’s Perfect’ describes his feelings for a woman he considers absolutely faultless. Unfortunately, it’s yet another auto-tuned generic dance-pop cut from him that gets really annoying at the chorus. It seems he’s following Rihanna in releasing an album every 12 months, but at least with her, she tries to come back with something different. With him, it’s the same poo distributed in a different toilet.
During his visit to Power 106 LA, Breezy opened up to Big Boy about his relationship with Rihanna since breaking up with Karrueche Tran. Of course he denies that they are back together but says he and Rihanna are just trying hard to build their friendship and would like for people to step back and let them get on with it.
Thoughts?
