Beyonce close to wrapping up new album, says Sia Furler…

Singer-songwriter Sia Furler reveals to MTV Australia that she’s pitching songs to Beyonce (as well as Leona Lewis and Janelle Monáe). After recieving an invitation from Diplo to fly out to New York and assist him on Beyonce’s new album, Sia reveals she could not take up the opportunity. However, she has managed the submittals.

“There’s only one song left for this [Beyonce] album, so I probably won’t get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That’s my dream, that’s my goal” she says. It appears Beyonce is finally wrapping up recording and is all set to debut her new music on an anticipated world (stan world, that is). It is believed the 29-year-old will debut her new music when she headlines Glastonbury this coming June.

Beyonce officially confirmed to headline Glastonbury Festival…

After much online speculation this week, pop superstar Beyonce has finally confirmed that she will be headlining this year’s Glastonbury Festival in South West England. The 29-year-old will perform a 90-minute set on the last day which starts on June 22nd and concludes on June 26th.

“This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there” she reveals in an official statement. “Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend. I’m pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy”. Source.

It looks like Beyonce will be targeting summer to debut her new music, and the festival will mark one of many major promotional ventures. The singer has been putting the finishing touches to her fourth studio album which will drop this year. I’m assuming this was the big announcement that her fans were buzzing about this week. Let the Beyondroid take-over begin!

Beyonce attends business meeting in NYC & more…

Beyonce was spotted yesterday attending a business meeting in the Manhattan area of New York City. The singer won’t be headlining any award shows because she’s waiting until summer or Fall to reign chart dominance, whilst Britney Spears and Lady Gaga battle each other for those Spring sales!

Word now has it that producer Missy Elliot (who is currently working on Monica‘s upcoming LP ‘New Life’) has now jumped ship to work her magic on the new Beyonce album. Interesting.

Beyonce single deemed another ‘Crazy In Love’, NYC spotting…

Beyonce does not care that she’s one of PETA‘s most hated celebrities. The singer was snapped in New York City yesterday (Jan 28th) rocking a fur hood. Kelis will be proud, and although the ‘Crazy In Love’ songstress is not as vocal, she sticks her middle finger up with ACTION! Speaking of ‘Crazy In Love’, Ray Cunningham, the first openly gay personality to be featured on BET in its 25 year history, says that he has heard the new Beyonce single.

“I heard Beyonce’s new single” he tweeted before telling his followers that the track is “fire” and that he is STILL dancing to it. He continued: “Beyonce’s new song is the tea. Your ribs WILL hurt! I proooomise!”. When a fan asked him what the record sounds like, he replied: “Crazy In Love 2011″. Now, that’s true tea! Serve me my chocolate biscuits!

Diplo working with Beyoncé?

Beyonce has reportedly snagged Dubstep/electro Hip Hop producer Diplo (M.I.A‘s ‘Paper Planes’) and Noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells for her upcoming new studio album. Diplo said he and Sleigh Bells snatched studio time with the ‘Single Ladies’ songstress recently. “Me and Switch was in the studio in NYC tryin’ to make tracks with Derek and Beyonce last week after we played her team their album … dunno if we gonna manage to finish but was good times”, he wrote on his blog, also describing the session as “intense”.

The direction of Beyonce’s new album changes as frequently as the British weather so who knows what to expect from the project. All I know is that my fascination for the project has shot up by more than 10 times. Dubstep has become mighty popular now with both Britney Spears and Rihanna experimenting with the musical style. Also, to my french viewers, be sure to check in on my friend’s music blog whenever you get the chance. Great blog for all your musical needs.

Beyonce snapped in the studio with producer Symbolyc One…

Beyoncé has been hard at work on her upcoming new album and was snapped in the recording studio with music producer, Symbolyc One in New York City a few days ago. You’re probably asking, who the heck is Symbolyc One? Don’t feel bad because I’m not familiar with his name either.

Apparently, Symbolyc One aka S1 recently produced the ‘Power’ beat for rapper Kanye West. As he’s pretty underground, it will be interesting to hear what type of sound and direction they cook up!

Beyonce inspired by Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wall’ for new album…

Beyonce spoke to MTV about what she’s been cooking up in the recording studio for her new album. She reveals she’s not trying to invent a new genre but mixing “every type of genre that I love” because when it comes to genre inspiration, she has no limitations! As a result, she declares this is what makes her a non-boxed artist. The album is also influenced by the greats such as Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. Read on…

Beyonce’s “smash” single currently being mixed…

It’s bad enough that a herd of gobby producers and songwriters cannot keep their tongue regarding their contributions towards the new Beyonce album. However, when music engineers/mixers cannot hide their excitement, you just know that this is one anticipated project…

011910_beyonce_allureMixer Rob Chiarelli who has done quite a lot of mixing for established acts such as Christina Aguilera, Usher and Justin Bieber could not hide his enthusiasm at being the one chosen to mix the new Beyonce single. He writes: “Mixing a smash for Beyonce. Oooooh. Wicked!” Source.

I have to admit that reading about all the tasks and steps surrounding the production process of Beyonce’s new album has been an interesting one. From the type of sound she wants to go in right up to what she has in store for her album artwork are just some of things that has the stans in hype mode right now. I just feel bad that so many people are hyping it up because the pressure really will be ON to deliver that upcoming smash.

The Script talks about writing for Beyonce…

Earlier this year, word got out that The Script penned a song for the new Beyonce album. Or at least she liked it and took the song on board. MTV caught up with their frontman Danny O’Donoghue. What exactly did he have to say about it?

“We’ve been songwriters for a long time and these things come round and you hear wind that someone heard a song and they liked it, but you don’t know if it’s going to happen or not. It would be fantastic, I think it would be more of an indent to get to work with Jay-Z if we had a song with Beyoncé! You never know” (Source).

So many producers and songwriters have submitted work for the anticipated project that it’s literally impossible to tell who will get the biggest accolade of having their work accepted. It would be interesting to see what ‘new’ people she has endorsed as opposed to the usual producers she often likes to associate with.

Beyonce reportedly picks out styles for new album cover…

Beyonce continues to work on her new album at unprecedented speeds. Reportedly, she is looking at certain fashion collections for the artwork of her upcoming LP…

As celebrity fans become more and more de rigeur, Italian designers are catering to the likes of Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue. Beyoncé, in particular, seemed to be making the rounds among Italian footwear designers during the Milan collections, picking out styles for her new album cover and tour. (Source).

We should know by now that a chick works fast as hell. It would not even be surprising if she was wrapping up the recording process as we speak. The jury is still out on whether she will be releasing new music this year. In related news, the video where Beyonce is seen doing The Wobble after crashing an NYC block party has now generated over two million views since its release a week ago.

Beyonce tells Sean Garrett to “SHUT UP!”

Beyonce is not happy that so many producers are spouting off about her new album. The biggest culprit being Sean Garrett. As he’s been telling the world more than he should, the ‘Single Ladies’ singer has had to resort to putting the gag on him.

When pressed by Radar Online this week to elaborate on the tracks he’s done for Beyonce’s new album, he replied: “Everything is really hush hush with her. It’s going to be her biggest album ever! But she’s personally instructed me to “shut up Sean”. So all I can say is she’s really grown since her last album and I’m really proud of her” (Source).

When you’re an international superstar like Beyonce, keeping a secret such as hitting the studio is hard to maintain. However, what a producer can in deed do is control what comes out of his mouth. With so many unauthorised leaks ocurring on a daily basis, it’s only understandable that she would want as little information about the project to remain private.

Rich Harrison faces Beyonce/J.Lo dilemma: Who gets the uptempo?

Producer Rich Harrison is faced with a dilemma that many aspiring producers can only DREAM of having. Apparently, he is working on the new albums of Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez and he can’t decide who gets what…

“Aight, J.Lo & Bey. Who gets the bangin’ uptempo and who gets the hard ass midtempo with the guest feature?” (Source). But what do YOU think?

I say Beyonce gets the uptempo! She packs some mean fire into those and she still has her star power. J.Lo on the other hand, has been struggling with her music career lately. A high profile guest feature could do wonders. In other news surrounding Beyonce’s upcoming album, Swizz Beatz talks to US Weekly about creating a new sound for the 29-year-old, with MTV confirming his contribution to the anticipated project. This is a brand new name added to the long line-up of producers working on Beyonce’s album so far.

Producer hints at new Beyonce single in THREE weeks…

Producer Los Da Mystro, who was just in the studio with Beyonce has hinted that fans could hear her first single as early as three weeks! He confirms the track is laced by The Dream, who also helmed her monster hit ‘Single Ladies’ with his production partner Tricky Stewart.

“Listening to new B record Dream wrote” he says “F*cking insane! Wow! She about to kill the game again! Had to listen again!! Ya’ll [will see] in 3 weeks!” (Source). When pressed by fans if this was really true, he later added: “Thats what they saying now. But it is the music business. It could be sooner or later” (Source).

This chick sure do work fast! I would not even be surprised if Beyonce pulls the rug from underneath our feet and drops her new album in December! That would be the ultimate shocker! It would be so unexpected, as nothing, absolutely NOTHING has been officially confirmed. I would not get our hopes up about hearing something in three weeks though. After all, he did retract slightly by saying, it could be “later”. Then again, Keyshia Cole has yet to drop her new single and she swears her new album will be out in December, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!

Beyonce embarks on ‘Agenda’ for new album, according to Ne-yo…

Songwriter Ne-yo has been spilling his guts out to MTV regarding the recording sessions of Beyonce‘s new album…

The singer is ditching Sasha Fierce for her next album for something new. The 30-year-old, who who is working with the megastar on the follow-up to 2008′s ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’, says that working with Beyonce is an easy process, mostly because she knows exactly what she wants.

“The thing about working with Beyoncé is that she definitely has her own agenda” he says “She’s an artist that knows exactly what she wants to do. She’s going to give you directions [like] ‘Here’s where I’m going, so here’s where I need you to be. And, you know, I’m a person that follows direction well. [And she'll be like], ‘So this is the sound, this is the vibe; make it happen.’ And I write and she likes it or she doesn’t. And in this case she did, and there you have it” (Source).

Producer sets record straight about his ‘contribution’ on new Beyonce LP…

Remember our post when producer/songwriter Fitzroy ‘The Art Teacher’ Reid said that the new Beyonce album was “gonna be crazy”? Well, he is denying that he admitted to producing music for the upcoming LP.

“For the record I have not worked with Beyonce, nor was I in the studio with her” he said, setting the record straight in the process “I spoke about her album because my people are mixing it” (Source).

If you read our post, we NEVER did report that he contributed towards her album. We just stated they were at the same recording studio, although it was initially believed he did something . Putting that aside, Beyonce’s album really is on course to becoming one of the most anticipated of 2011.

Jim Jonsin to bring back the ’80s on Beyonce’s new album…

Producer Jim Jonsin has recieved a phonecall from Beyoncé because she wants him to start work on her brand new studio album…

Jonsin, who produced Beyonce’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ says that whilst they have yet to hit the studio, he already has some ideas for the project. “I’d like to take it even more Depeche Mode-ish, like ’80s electro with just some hard drums. I’d love to go there” he says. Click here to watch the video where he also talks about his contributions towards the new Jennifer Lopez album.

I really do not want too many electronic sounds on this new album, although it would be expected considering that ‘Sweet Dreams’ pretty much falls in a similar category. I would like a raw uncut R&B album from Beyonce because she has R&B vocals, although she DOES pull off the pop stuff quite well. That said, we’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.

Alja Jackson writes for Beyonce’s new album…

Newcomer Alja Jackson has confirmed that she has done some writing for the new Beyonce album. Check out what she had to say below.

“I’m listening to the record I wrote for Beyonce” she says “Oh mane! Sh*t snappin! So Pretty Girl Bad! ‘Bout to have B on dat PGB! She on it!” (Source).

Someone sounds a little excited but then, if your work was up for consideration for the widely anticipated new Beyonce album, wouldn’t you be too? Toyaz World contributor Zionology recently did a lengthy feature on Alja Jackson and a few of the artists she has written for. If you have yet to read it, you can check it out here. A very insightful read I must add.

Beyonce works with Q-Tip for upcoming new album…

Beyonce has been working hard on her new album and ANOTHER producer has come forward to gloat about his work for the ‘Single Ladies’ songstress. This time, Q-Tip made the announcement that he was working on new joints for both Beyonce and Mary J. Blige.

This new Beyonce album is becoming an event itself with so many different producers coming forward to confirm their contributions. She’s one of the biggest heavyweights in R&B music right now so it’s totally understandable that they’d want the whole world to know they are working on one of the most anticipated albums yet.
.
I don’t think Beyonce has worked with Q-Tip before so this points out that she is intending to deliver us some hardcore urban cuts as well. Exciting. Meanwhile, you can check out some high quality photos of Beyonce performing at Jay-Z‘s ‘Home & Home’ tour in New York City this week.

Beyonce’s new album to be filled with ‘party’ anthems…

Producer/songwriter Sean Garrett reveals to Music Mix that Beyonce is intent on crafting out more ‘party music’ for her new album. Garrett previously worked with the ‘Bootylicious’ one on her hit singles ‘Get Me Bodied’, ‘Diva’ and ‘Upgrade U’. Check out his quotes below:

011910_beyonce_allure“I am going in the studio with Beyoncé this week to work on her next record,” Garrett told the Music Mix at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I think we are doing a lot of up-tempo records for this one. She’s in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely”. Source.
.
Oh boy. I’ve stated many a time that as talented as she is, Beyonce is a fast food artist. She will only put out songs that she feels will SELL and not music that epitomises substance and quality. I would not even be surprised if she ended up going the Rihanna and Lady Gaga route with the Avante Garde sound and packaging. We are still waiting for that timeless album but it doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting it anytime soon. This is quite disheartening considering that she is almost 30-years-old.

Beyonce’s new album is going to be “CRAZY” says producer…

According to producer/songwriter Fitzroy ‘The Art Teacher’ Reid, the new Beyonce album is “gonna be crazy” (Source)…

Reid who has worked with Angie Stone, Jason Derulo, Ludacris, Linkin Park, Marsha Ambrosius and more, was at the recording studio Beyonce was at on Wednesday night. The producer also confirms that the recording session took place at K.A.M. Studios in midtown New York City. Interesting!
