Alesha Dixon delivered another performance of new single ‘Drummer Boy’ over the weekend. She performed the track on VIVA’s ‘Suck My Pop’ show, here in the UK:
My ears just won’t embrace this song but nevertheless, Ms Dixon stays performing the hell out of it. A good little performer she really is, and with much of that stage charisma seriously lacking on this side of the pond, the former Mis-teeq songstress is most certainly a pleasure to watch on screen.

The singer known for appearing in a Pharrell Williams/NERD video, may very well be our answer to the British Beyonce but I personally feel that her music is not that engaging enough to capture the American market. With a song like ‘Drummer Boy’, she’s really going to have to step it up. The 31-year-old will release the track on September 6th. New album ‘The Entertainer’ will shortly follow on November 22nd.

The singer entertained viewers with a very energetic performance of her marching band-inspired single. I still dislike the song but watching the performances makes it a tad bit more tolerable. WATCH: Alesha Dixon EXCLUSIVELY performs ‘Drummer Boy’ at Party In The Park…
Last week, UK songstress Alesha Dixon took to the stage at ‘Party in the Park’ in Leeds, where she performed her new single ‘Drummer Boy’ for the very first time. I did say that if a HQ video props up, I’ll post. Well, as promised, here is the *professionally shot* performance:
Good grief! My ears! From head to toe, Alesha is physically a hot woman. No one can deny that. When So Solid Crew’s Harvey cheated on her, I thought he was the biggest loser. Whilst he has faded away from the spotlight, Alesha continues to enjoy her musical success.

So again, I repeat, everything about Alesha is hot up until – CAR SQUID!!! – you hear her sing (something she wasn’t doing much of anyway, except filling the stadium with throaty yells). And then you want to cry. It’s bad enough that I’m severely struggling to get into the song, no matter how many times I hear it. But towards midway to the end, I think my drums must have ruptured when she got to the “aaaarhhhh aaaarrrhhh” parts.

However, I commend her for going out of her way to perform her butt off and delivering a high-energy show for her audience. This is how it always should be.

Craig David and Alesha Dixon performed onstage at ‘Party in the Park’ in Leeds yesterday:
Both stars entertained crowds of 70,000 people! Ms Dixon performed a 30-minute set – including new single ‘Drummer Boy’, as well as her older hits such as ‘The Boy Does Nothing’ and ‘Breathe Slow’. She looked stunning in a short red mini dress, black corset and thigh-high boots..
Craig performed his recent music as well as a few songs from his breakout album ‘Born To Do It’ such as ‘Walking Away’ and ‘Fill Me In’. In fact, I’ve enclosed some of his ‘Fill Me In’ performance after the jump. However, let’s just say the 29-year-old was looking hot and can STILL get it. If any HQ performances pop up, we’ll post.

Alesha Dixon’s new single ‘Drummer Boy’ premiered on UK radio today. She also posted the full song on her official Youtube page. The track is lifted from her upcoming new album ‘Unleashed’. Rehashing what I said in a previous post this week:
“The urban-pop ‘Drummer Boy’ is an incongruent mix of marching drums, trumpets, bass and an action-packed middle 8. Unfortunately, it sounds like a painful ear of boisterous weather and busy roads”. Source.

Alesha Dixon returns with her new summer single ‘Drummer Boy’, which is lifted from her upcoming new album ‘Unleashed’. The 31-year-old shot the music video for it this week with director Ray Kay in Los Angeles. The video will premiere on Friday 6th August, whilst the song will be released on September 5th.
The urban-pop ‘Drummer Boy’ is an incongruent mix of marching drums, trumpets, bass and an action-packed middle 8. Unfortunately, it sounds like a painful ear of boisterous weather and busy roads. For me, the song is way too busy and too much is going on with the instruments. That said, as with the case with ‘The Boy Does Nothing’, it might just be a grower. Take a listen to the lengthy preview and post your thoughts.
Tidbit: Warner Music Group are blocking ALL of the Youtube vids so you’ll have to go to her official website and fill out some unnecessary survey before they let you listen to it. Report: Alesha Dixon set to release New Album ‘Unleash’…
Former Misteeq songstress Alesha Dixon is set to release her second new album ‘Unleash’ later this year. The set will include production from Jim Beanz and Xenomania, just to name a few. The new record will also be preceded by lead single ‘Drummer Boy’, which is set to premiere in late August. The Ray Kay-directed music video will be shot in LA. Here’s what she had to say about it:
“I’m really excited about the new record. Time is ticking but we’re getting there and we’re nearly ready to come with the album. We’re just mastering it, mixing it and making it as good as it can be for you guys. I’m really excited, I hope you guys are as well. Look out for the new single ‘Drummer Boy’ when it drops at the end of August or beginning of September. I’ll keep you updated! I’m off to LA in a couple of weeks to shoot the video with Ray Kay which is exciting!”. Source
I was not expecting another album so soon after her debut ‘The Alesha Show’. She had some decent cuts on it in the form of ‘Breathe Slow’ and few others. However, I would love for her to ‘unleash’ more of that feisty street swag as evident during her stint in Misteeq and none of that slushy, cheesy stuff that plagued the last project. Either way, I’ll be checking out her new stuff, for the curiousity alone.
