Alicia Keys snapped ‘lifeless’ for Digital Death Campaign…
Posted by | Filed under Alicia Keys, Photoshoot
Some of the biggest names in R&B and pop will die on a temporary basis tomorrow when they ban themselves from posting on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This is done to help raise $1 million for the ‘Keep a Child Alive’ foundation, founded by R&B songstress Alicia Keys. Above is a high quality photo of the 29-year-old lying dead in a coffin due to digitally comitting social suicide. The photo was shot by renoun photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani.
The campaign, which involves a number of stars lying dead in coffins, features participation from Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Serena Williams, Swizz Beatz, Kim Kardashian, Usher, Diddy, Janelle Monáe, and Jay Sean. It will encourage help and support to those afflicted with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
Janet Jackson covers ‘Instinct’…

Pop icon Janet Jackson is featured on the cover of the December 2010/January 2011 issue of ‘Instinct’ magazine. The publication, which is targeted towards gay males, sees the 44-year-old talking candidly with Instinct’s editor in chief Mike Wood about a number of topics. These include her latest movie roles, the deal with her stalled music career and her long-standing ties to the gay community.
Amazingly, Ms Janet is only the fourth female in 13-years to get her own ‘Instinct’ cover. She looks absolutely ravishing, and I love how she’s pulling off the lady in red in all of her latest magazine shoots. Work!
Beyonce’s ‘Tom Ford’ modelling featured in ‘Harper’s Bazaar’…

A couple of months ago during New York’s Fashion Week, Beyonce catwalked for Tom Ford’s private fashion show where she modelled his Spring/Summer 2011 Collection?. The hush hush event was attended by 100 guests which saw the designer showcasing his first women’s collection in over six years.
Harper’s Bazaar magazine was lucky enough to get an invite and featured this never before seen photo of the superstar diva in their latest issue. The hair is a bit much for my liking but other than that, she looked absolutely stunning.

New Song: Michael Jackson – ‘Much Too Soon’…
Posted by | Filed under Michael Jackson, New Music
‘Much Too Soon’ is a new song from the upcoming posthumous Michael Jackson album ‘Michael’ which will drop in stores on December 14th. The ballad consists of that purified vulnerability consistent in many slow cuts graced by the late King of Pop. Unfortunately, I’m just not sold on this new album. It sounds like it’s going to be ballad heavy, which just doesn’t excite me.
And the fact that he’s dead will probably make listening to the album much more disheartening. Just remember though, it’s not a REAL MJ album unless his creative input was 100% and he finalised it which he didn’t so…

Keyshia Cole poses for new photoshoot…
Posted by | Filed under Keyshia Cole, Photoshoot
Keyshia Cole recently posed for a quick photoshoot in New York City last week on November 22nd. So far, sans the album artwork, this is the first photoshoot we are seeing for the singer’s ‘Calling All Hearts’ era. I love the hair colour but not the style. It seems popular because Keri Hilson had the same look for her upcoming album as well. Just remember that Rihanna rocked and OWNED it first in her ‘Rude Boy’ music video.
JLS snapped kicking off the opening night of Arena tour…
Posted by | Filed under JLS
JLS had a hugely successful opening when they kicked off their sold out Arena tour in Aberdeen last night (Nov 29th) – the first of 38 shows they will play over the next few months. The show opened with Aston, JB, Marvin and Ortise swooping over the crowd in a flying car, before performing tracks from their latest new album ‘Outta This World’. Their set included a selection of their hit singles, Rihanna‘s ‘Umbrella’, and a couple of tracks by US boybands The Backstreet Boys and N-Sync.
The considerate quartet even appeared on stage 45 minutes ahead of schedule to ensure fans could leave earlier than planned and battle their way through the snow. The night before the kick-off, Marvin’s ex Rochelle Wiseman was spotted holding hands with Jay Asforis after clubbing at Mayfair’s Whisky Mist. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, they’re not a couple as they have a brother and sister type relationship going on. The pair were also accompanied by Rochelle’s current bandmate Frankie Sanford. Rochelle, Frankie and Jay have known each other since they were kids as all three of them were in S Club Juniors together. Check out more pictures of all the action below.
Watch: New Chris Brown song previewed on Ustream by Swizz Beatz…

Super producer, Swizz Beatz recently previewed a brand new song he worked on with R&B star Chris Brown on his Ustream. The pair previously worked together on Breezy’s single ‘I Can Transform Ya’, and they’re hoping to create more musical magic once again. It is not yet known whether the song will apear on Swizz’s new album, or Chris’s new album ‘F.A.M.E.’, but wherever it ends up, it sounds like quite the catch! Let’s hope we get to hear a longer version real soon.

On Monday, pop phenomenon Lady Gaga released a new video message directed to her followers to push for ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ repeal. “Right now, we’re looking at tomorrow being a very important day for you guys all to really be paying attention,” she says, as she sat in her dressing room.
She adds: “Senators you have been put on notice by me and by the people of this country. You said you would debate and address this law when the Pentagon returned with a strategy and tomorrow morning you will have. Will you keep your word?” Check out a defiant Gaga spreading her message after the jump.
Watch: Keyshia Cole performs on ‘Leno’…

Keyshia Cole kick started her promo last night by performing her J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League produced new single ‘Long Way Down’ on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’. The track serves as the second single from the 29-year-old’s upcoming new album ‘Calling All Hearts’, out in stores on Dec 21st.
Ms Cole looked beautiful on Jay Leno, but she sounded pretty awful during the beginning. However, she slightly managed to pick herself back up again midway. Whilst I like the new music (sans the Nicki Minaj assisted ‘I Aint Thru’), none of it has me going bananas right now but I still have hope for ‘Calling All Hearts’.

New Song: Kandi Burruss – ‘Me & U’…
Posted by | Filed under Kandi Burruss, New Music
The Ne-yo penned ‘Me & U’ is a new song lifted from Kandi Burruss‘ upcoming new album ‘Kandi Koated’, which will drop in stores on Dec 14th. The ballad samples ‘Elevators’ by OutKast and emphasises two people in love being totally compatible with one another.
The slinky R&B groove once again takes you back to the early 90′s with not much commercial input. One thing that’s been missing this era is non-watered down R&B with no hint of pop undertones. Older R&B heads would actually appreciate it for those reasons alone. Give it a listen.
New Song: Keyshia Cole – ‘Confused In Love’…
Posted by | Filed under Keyshia Cole, New Music
‘Confused In Love’ is a new track to surface from Keyshia Cole‘s upcoming new album, ‘Calling All Hearts’, which is set to hit shelves on December 21st. On the track, the singer is battling with trust issues after encountering betrayal in a previous relationship.
Although I was a little bored with the finger snapping production, the midtempo cut is pretty much decent. If anything, the overall track takes you back to Keyshia’s traditional R&B sound as heard on her first two albums. In any case, give it a listen and tell us what you think of it.
Nicole Scherzinger poses for ‘Fabulous’…

Nicole Scherzinger is absolutely KILLING it in this brand new photoshoot with the UK’s ‘Fabulous’ magazine. Proceed after the jump to look at more of this fierce photo spread. Also, you can click here to read the entire article since you need paid subscription to read it at the News of The World website.
I’ve also included a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. The article just glosses over her upbringing and her stint as an X factor judge but a very interesting read nonetheless.
New Song: T.I. feat Christina Aguilera – ‘Castle Walls’…
Posted by | Filed under Christina Aguilera, New Music
Christina Aguilera is featured on the new T.I. single which is titled ‘Castle Walls’. A snippet had surfaced previously but now the track, which has surfaced today, can be listened to in its entirety. The Alex da Kid produced song will feature on the rapper’s upcoming new album ‘No Mercy’.
‘Castle walls’ is undoutedly the best Hip Hop collaboration Christina has ever done! In fact, the pulsating production is just as good as Eminem and Rihanna‘s ‘Love The Way You Lie’. “If I should tumble, if I should fall, would anyone hear me screaming behind these castle walls?” Christina sounds great, although T.I. should really QUIT with the redemption songs. They don’t mean nothing if you don’t live up to what you’re rapping about.
Watch: Nicole Scherzinger performs ‘Poison’ on ‘Daybreak’…
Posted by | Filed under Nicole Scherzinger, Performances
After delivering a high energetic performance on last night’s ‘X Factor’, Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger continued her UK promo rounds by visiting London’s ‘Daybreak’ (see above photo). Once again, Ms Scherzinger served up the goods as she proceeded to perform new single ‘Poison’ WITHOUT miming.
No one knows why Nicole would want to perform on Daybreak this morning after being on X Factor last night but promo is promo I guess. And with the singer struggling in the past to kick off her solo career, you just don’t say ‘no’ to promo no matter how minor it is.

During last night’s broadcast of ‘The 2010 Soul Train Awards’, Bruno Mars took the stage to sing his second single ‘Grenade’ from his fantastic new album ‘Doo Wops & Hooligans’. The 25-year-old newcomer delivered a strong, yet mindblowing vocal performance in which the audience totally connected to.
I absolutely loved the electric guitar, which contributed towards bringing the song to life. The talented crooner must have been on a high after winning his first Soul Train Award. Mars won ‘Song of the Year’ for ‘Nothin’ on You’. Well deserved!
