The demo ‘Dead To Me’ from Canadian R&B songstress Keshia Chante leaked this week and is officially confirmed to feature on her upcoming new album ‘The Vendetta’. Keshia’s biggest fansite Luv-KChantè confirm to us that these ARE in deed Keshia’s vocals on the demo. However, the song is not in its mastered form. Take a listen to it below:
The 22-year-old who once dated Drake, co-wrote the song with JC Smith and Roz Bell. Smith likens the song’s production as an interesting combination between Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ and One Republic/Timbaland’s ‘Apologize’. I love the song, and it’s just a rough cut. KC is coming hard!
Gosh she was really channeling her inner-Aaliyah in that pic. I’m not a fan of her music at all. This song’s nice though.

It’s a hot song.. she was gettin her Aaliyah on in this pic and on this song really.. The song has that minor key and slightly dark thing goin on that Aaliyah did on her last album.. When the chorus switches to major key that’s the only thing that doesn’t necessarily fit.
I want an update on that Aaliyah movie.
Hey What’s Up Everybody?! lol well KC recorded the song back in Nov. of last year & we at LKC posted it earlier this year. KC is really going HAM on this new album & we should probably hear some more new music from her in a couple of weeks. I can hear some of the Aaliyah & Coldplay influences on this song & it’s a GREAT direction for KC. She begins shooting her music video for “Test Drive” in a couple of weeks & hopefully we get the new music around that time. KC’s influences for The Vendetta were Aaliyah, Beyonce, Brandy, Christina Aguilera, Coldplay & Alanis Morisette. @ KNUCK, I think that is why I love it so much. It could EASILY have been lifted from Aaliyah’s last album and lawd knows I LOVE that CD. It’s even more eery that they favour.
By the way, when I saw the photo, the first thing I told myself was: “I’ve never seen this Aaliyah picture before!”. I mean, it looks EXACTLY like an outtake from the ‘Aaliyah’ album!

Aaliyah looked much better than this, and to be honest, i never mistook her for Aaliyah in look or sound (on this song)
oh the picture of KC is from her TV show “Soul” that aired last year on VisionTV in Canada, it’s NOT from the Aaliyah movie lol and speaking of the movie, KC confirmed that she was asked to do play the part and there are some people working on it, she confirmed that Aaliyah’s family is not ready for a movie on their daughter & that when the time is right, she will take on the role. Sounds strange, but I’m still waiting for that new Aaliyah album. I just want her to comeback. I just listened to her album ‘one in a million’ again. It’s just not fair. Thank God we could still listen to 3 beautiful albums..soo fresh and creative sounds of ms Aaliyah.

i dnt really like keshia.. i think her looking like aaliyah will hold her back in the u.s.a. Plus nothing about her stands out. Now a days you cant just be a pretty singer u gotta have something else. Only beyonce can be that(Which i think will hurt her in the long run)
