Report: JLS prep Music Video for ‘Love You More’…

UK boyband JLS have chosen what their next single is going to be and it is entitled ‘Love You More’. No other details have surfaced about the track or who produced it. However, I can confirm that they are preparing to shoot the music video which will be directed by Sanji.

Sanji has a solid line of respected music videos to his name as he’s directed clips for Lauryn Hill (‘Everything Is Everything’), Maxwell (‘This Woman’s Work’), Jennifer Lopez (‘Me Haces Falta’) and that’s just to name the few.

‘Love You More’ sounds like it could be ‘Everybody In Love’ part two, and you just know the video is going be swamped with a tonne of women. Possibly teetering on borderline cheesy. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more details surface. I’m assuming the music video will be shot in the US during promotion of their debut album when it gets released Stateside on Aug 3rd.

Report: Ciara Pushes the Envelope on ‘Basic Instincts’…

Billboard has published a brand new report about Ciara’s new album ‘Basic Instinct’, as well as confirmation of the October 5th release date. ‘Ride’ producer Tricky Stewart spills the beans to the popular chart magazine about why Ciara is finally seeing success with her current lead single.

“The track has caught on because it’s infectious, memorable and returns Ciara to her fan base”, Stewart says. “The last album we had a number of people in our ears not believing in our vision. This time Ciara drew the line and really fought for what she believed in”. Source.

That’s nice. Unlike The Dream, at least one producer has positive things to say. The track is currently No. 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 after spending a lengthy thirteen weeks on each. Nielsen SoundScan also estimates that the track has sold 250,000 downloads to date.

Report: Rihanna extends her World Tour Down Under!

Superstar Rihanna is extending her widely successful ‘Last Girl on Earth’ tour to 2011, when she brings her spectacular risque live show to Australia in February.

Australian fans are warned that her show has “strong themes of sex and violence, including semi-nudity and war imagery”. However, promoter Michael Coppel said the tour, which sold out in Europe and did respectively well in the US, pushes the envelope. The show is said to include sexy costumes, dirty dancing, massive props, booming pyro and sci-fi screens. The gig also involves a segment where the 22-year-old provocatively straddles a giant pink tank. The ‘Umbrella’ songstress will perform at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 25th. Tickets go on sale on August 20th. Source.

Rihanna is slaying on this tour. Everybody wants a piece of Queen Riri and her Aussie fans are set to get their wish. Very few may question her singing abilities, but a chick works hard for her bread, and to be honest, I can’t see how anyone can fault her for that.

Miguel Jontel is a brand new R&B crooner signed to Jive Records. For his debut single ‘All I Want Is You’, he hooked up with the Roc Nation’s very own J. Cole where the future of R&B and Hip Hop collided together to unveil the official Alexandre Moors-directed visuals:

Wow. Mr Jontel’s vocals are absolutely outstanding, and smoother than a cup of warm honey. I think I just found me my new Tevin Campbell of the millennium. The Salaam Remi-produced ‘All I Want Is You’ is a retro heavy R&B/Hip Hop fusion which finds the 25-year-old pining after a lost love.

The L.A. native premiered his new video two weeks ago and has penned songs for Musiq, Mary J. Blige, and Usher is preparing to release his upcoming debut album ‘Gravity’, later this year.

WATCH: Alesha Dixon EXCLUSIVELY performs ‘Drummer Boy’ at Party In The Park…

Last week, UK songstress Alesha Dixon took to the stage at ‘Party in the Park’ in Leeds, where she performed her new single ‘Drummer Boy’ for the very first time. I did say that if a HQ video props up, I’ll post. Well, as promised, here is the *professionally shot* performance:

Good grief! My ears! From head to toe, Alesha is physically a hot woman. No one can deny that. When So Solid Crew’s Harvey cheated on her, I thought he was the biggest loser. Whilst he has faded away from the spotlight, Alesha continues to enjoy her musical success.

So again, I repeat, everything about Alesha is hot up until – CAR SQUID!!! – you hear her sing (something she wasn’t doing much of anyway, except filling the stadium with throaty yells). And then you want to cry. It’s bad enough that I’m severely struggling to get into the song, no matter how many times I hear it. But towards midway to the end, I think my drums must have ruptured when she got to the “aaaarhhhh aaaarrrhhh” parts.

However, I commend her for going out of her way to perform her butt off and delivering a high-energy show for her audience. This is how it always should be.

LISTEN: Keshia Chante’s ‘Dead to Me’ leaks in DEMO form…

The demo ‘Dead To Me’ from Canadian R&B songstress Keshia Chante leaked this week and is officially confirmed to feature on her upcoming new album ‘The Vendetta’. Keshia’s biggest fansite Luv-KChantè confirm to us that these ARE in deed Keshia’s vocals on the demo. However, the song is not in its mastered form. Take a listen to it below:

The 22-year-old who once dated Drake, co-wrote the song with JC Smith and Roz Bell. Smith likens the song’s production as an interesting combination between Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ and One Republic/Timbaland’s ‘Apologize’. I love the song, and it’s just a rough cut. KC is coming hard!

REPORT: Randy Jackson almost FIRED from American Idol…

All the other American Idol judges have their own report so I may as well make it a clean sweep. Randy Jackson, the only remaining original judge left, almost got his bacon cooked and was VERY close to getting fired!

Sources close to production tell TMZ there was “serious talk” of a clean sweep of the judge’s panel … but we’re told Idol brass wanted to keep a connection to the original judge’s table, so Randy was spared. As we previously reported, Simon Cowell left for ‘The X Factor’, Ellen DeGeneres stepped down after one season and Kara DioGuardi was let go – leaving Randy as the only remaining judge. Source.

That was soooo close “dawg”! Getting rid of the only connection left to the original American Idol would have been a huge risk as many viewers have remained with the show from season one. As a result, a connection would definetely have been lost. It’s kind of baffling that NO judge was safe from the axe, and even more baffling that ‘Idol’ VETERAN Jackson almost got the chop.

REPORT: The Black Eyed Peas announce New Album ‘The Beginning’…

The Black Eyed Peas have announced that they’ll release their sixth studio album ‘The Beginning’ at the very end of 2010.

There’s nothing like enjoying the massive sales surge that the Christmas period will bring them. But in their defence, they don’t need to release that time of the year because they are naturally huge album sellers regardless. Plus, at least this news will reassure worried fans that Fergie is NOT leaving the group.

Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle from former R&B girl group Xscape has married her Prince charming Clifford Harris Jr aka rapper T.I:

The 29-year-old superstar married his longtime girlfriend in a secret ceremony at a Miami beach courthouse on Friday, and TMZ has obtained their official marriage license. The couple are planning a second wedding today on a small private island near Miami and will return to Atlanta for a reception later this afternoon.

The party celebrations will reportedly resume in Las Vegas. Congrats to them, and I hope this encourages him to stay faithful and take his wedding nuptials seriously, unlike one beaver-faced producer who shall remain nameless.

The cast of Glee talk to Entertainment Tonight about their Emmy nominations and their highly anticipated Britney Spears episode:

It seems the creators are pulling out all the stops to ensure this episode is as big as the Madonna one or larger. Britney will NOT be making a personal appearance, but I think many of us knew that already. However, her music videos will be recreated and her costumes will be imitated. I’m alreading picturing the ponytails and controversial school uniform from the ‘Baby One More Time’ video. Cornfest but fun!

Looks like a typical Bobby V video to me. A dude certainly loves to keep himself surrounded by all the sexy model chicks. The video is directed by Fat Katz and was shot on South Beach. Jay-Z’s new R&B protege Range officially premiered his new music video yesterday, for debut single ‘Ghetto Dance’ (featuring Rick Ross). The clip is directed by Ray Kay:

The 24-year-old R&B crooner delivers a well polished presentation for his first music visual. The song itself knocks hard and will undoutedly get those club floors popping. Needing to add, it’s definetely an extended bonus that he’s quite nice to look at.

The Philadelphia-Native has penned songs for Jamie Foxx (‘Cover Girl’), as well as rapper Ludacris (‘One More Drink’) and will release his upcoming debut album with the Star Roc/Roc Nation family.

I like the other trailer better. It will be interesting to see how the leading actor portrays the real Mark Zuckerberg (the world’s youngest self-made billionaire). After all, word has got out that he was a total douche. When he started to build his Facebook empire, he would rank the appearances of all of the girls at Harvard.

Keri Hilson Vogues it up on set of ‘Avon’ Photoshoot…

Avon spokesmodel and songstress Keri Hilson has now gone caramel blonde as seen at all her recent appearances. Last week, the 27-year-old attended her photoshoot for Avon and is seen being dolled up by celebrity makeup artist Paul Innis. The photo was released yesterday. She did a brand new interview about her beauty tips, and spoke a little bit about her new album:

Aside from voguing on Avon photo shoots, the R&B singer is in the middle of working on her next album, which she says will “prayerfully” be released later this year: “The vibe of it is very much like my first album, it’s for women. My message is to embrace your imperfections and vulnerabilities because we all have them, inner or outer. Know that there is no perfect woman out there, no matter what it looks like on the outside, we all deal with things. We can all relate”. Source.

I’m not fond of the blonde but she looks pretty and I sooo look forwards to seeing the new photoshoot. As for the excerpt, her quote pretty much mirrors the one back in May where she first revealed that she wants to “represent women” with her new album. “I have to represent women, how we really think and really feel” she previously said of the upcoming project. Keri is still recording her new album as it was only yesterday she was in the recording booth with Timbaland and Polow Da Don. If she plans to release this year, she’d better start wrapping it up as the last quarter of 2010 is just around the corner.

Former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard is said to be releasing her solo debut album, which is entitled ‘A Tell-Tale Heart’. Supposedly. Just don’t quote me on it. All the parts can NOT function on their own…

I’m hearing the project has been put on hold so that she can concentrate on promoting Dirty Money’s ‘Last Train To Paris’, which drops on September 21st.
