Report: JLS prep Music Video for ‘Love You More’…

UK boyband JLS have chosen what their next single is going to be and it is entitled ‘Love You More’. No other details have surfaced about the track or who produced it. However, I can confirm that they are preparing to shoot the music video which will be directed by Sanji.

‘Love You More’ sounds like it could be ‘Everybody In Love’ part two, and you just know the video is going be swamped with a tonne of women. Possibly teetering on borderline cheesy. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more details surface. I’m assuming the music video will be shot in the US during promotion of their debut album when it gets released Stateside on Aug 3rd.
Report: Ciara Pushes the Envelope on ‘Basic Instincts’…

Billboard has published a brand new report about Ciara‘s new album ‘Basic Instinct’, as well as confirmation of the October 5th release date. ‘Ride’ producer Tricky Stewart spills the beans to the popular chart magazine about why Ciara is finally seeing success with her current lead single.

That’s nice. Unlike The Dream, at least one producer has positive things to say. The track is currently No. 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 after spending a lengthy thirteen weeks on each. Nielsen SoundScan also estimates that the track has sold 250,000 downloads to date.

Superstar Rihanna is extending her widely successful ‘Last Girl on Earth’ tour to 2011, when she brings her spectacular risque live show to Australia in February.

Rihanna is slaying on this tour. Everybody wants a piece of Queen Riri and her Aussie fans are set to get their wish. Very few may question her singing abilities, but a chick works hard for her bread, and to be honest, I can’t see how anyone can fault her for that.

Miguel Jontel is a brand new R&B crooner signed to Jive Records. For his debut single ‘All I Want Is You’, he hooked up with the Roc Nation‘s very own J. Cole where the future of R&B and Hip Hop collided together to unveil the official Alexandre Moors-directed visuals:
Wow. Mr Jontel’s vocals are absolutely outstanding, and smoother than a cup of warm honey. I think I just found me my new Tevin Campbell of the millennium. The Salaam Remi-produced ‘All I Want Is You’ is a retro heavy R&B/Hip Hop fusion which finds the 25-year-old pining after a lost love.

The L.A. native premiered his new video two weeks ago and has penned songs for Musiq, Mary J. Blige, and Usher is preparing to release his upcoming debut album ‘Gravity’, later this year.

Last week, UK songstress Alesha Dixon took to the stage at ‘Party in the Park’ in Leeds, where she performed her new single ‘Drummer Boy’ for the very first time. I did say that if a HQ video props up, I’ll post. Well, as promised, here is the *professionally shot* performance:
Good grief! My ears! From head to toe, Alesha is physically a hot woman. No one can deny that. When So Solid Crew‘s Harvey cheated on her, I thought he was the biggest loser. Whilst he has faded away from the spotlight, Alesha continues to enjoy her musical success.

So again, I repeat, everything about Alesha is hot up until – CAR SQUID!!! – you hear her sing (something she wasn’t doing much of anyway, except filling the stadium with throaty yells). And then you want to cry. It’s bad enough that I’m severely struggling to get into the song, no matter how many times I hear it. But towards midway to the end, I think my drums must have ruptured when she got to the “aaaarhhhh aaaarrrhhh” parts.

However, I commend her for going out of her way to perform her butt off and delivering a high-energy show for her audience. This is how it always should be.

The demo ‘Dead To Me’ from Canadian R&B songstress Keshia Chante leaked this week and is officially confirmed to feature on her upcoming new album ‘The Vendetta’. Keshia’s biggest fansite Luv-KChantè confirm to us that these ARE in deed Keshia’s vocals on the demo. However, the song is not in its mastered form. Take a listen to it below:
The 22-year-old who once dated Drake, co-wrote the song with JC Smith and Roz Bell. Smith likens the song’s production as an interesting combination between Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ and One Republic/Timbaland‘s ‘Apologize’. I love the song, and it’s just a rough cut. KC is coming hard!

All the other American Idol judges have their own report so I may as well make it a clean sweep. Randy Jackson, the only remaining original judge left, almost got his bacon cooked and was VERY close to getting fired!

That was soooo close “dawg”! Getting rid of the only connection left to the original American Idol would have been a huge risk as many viewers have remained with the show from season one. As a result, a connection would definetely have been lost. It’s kind of baffling that NO judge was safe from the axe, and even more baffling that ‘Idol’ VETERAN Jackson almost got the chop.

It seems the creators are pulling out all the stops to ensure this episode is as big as the Madonna one or larger. Jay-Z‘s new R&B protege Range officially premiered his new music video yesterday, for debut single ‘Ghetto Dance’ (featuring Rick Ross). The clip is directed by Ray Kay:
The 24-year-old R&B crooner delivers a well polished presentation for his first music visual. The song itself knocks hard and will undoutedly get those club floors popping. Needing to add, it’s definetely an extended bonus that he’s quite nice to look at.

The Philadelphia-Native has penned songs for Jamie Foxx (‘Cover Girl’), as well as rapper Ludacris (‘One More Drink’) and will release his upcoming debut album with the Star Roc/Roc Nation family.

Avon spokesmodel and songstress Keri Hilson has now gone caramel blonde as seen at all her recent appearances. Last week, the 27-year-old attended her photoshoot for Avon and is seen being dolled up by celebrity makeup artist Paul Innis. The photo was released yesterday. She did a brand new interview about her beauty tips, and spoke a little bit about her new album:

I’m not fond of the blonde but she looks pretty and I sooo look forwards to seeing the new photoshoot. As for the excerpt, her quote pretty much mirrors the one back in May where she first revealed that she wants to “represent women” with her new album. “I have to represent women, how we really think and really feel” she previously said of the upcoming project. Keri is still recording her new album as it was only yesterday she was in the recording booth with Timbaland and Polow Da Don. If she plans to release this year, she’d better start wrapping it up as the last quarter of 2010 is just around the corner.
