R&B beauty, Keri Hilson graces the latest cover issue of Jet magazine, and reveals just what makes her tick when it comes to men.

What Keri wants: “I like an average guy, a forward thinking guy. He doesn’t have to be rich but he must be working towards something. And he can’t be complacent. I like a man who can stimulate me mentally. We can sit here and talk about politics and religion. I like a guy who is wise who can stimulate me with conversation. Conversation is everything, that’s what holds a relationship together”.

What Keri doesn’t want: “I don’t fancy entertainers or ball players. I just don’t want to be anybody’s trophy. They can’t handle a girl like me. I think I’m too much for another entertainer or ball player. The type of girl they look for is not me at all. They like a soft spoken, submissive type who is cute and just wants to spend their money. Of course that’s now all of them, but that’s usually the tone of the conversation that I’ve had with them. ‘You thought I was that girl? Well good to meet you,’ and I walk away. I was raised better than that. I know what a relationship looks like from my parents. I want the real thing”.

Hmmm.. I will be interested in her sophmore album. I REALLY believe her debut was overrated as hell and could only enjoy about 3 songs off it. The first 2 being singles. I will be interested to see how she does with no features. Which I know she won’t have because her debut didn’t sell that much. Meh. Whatever. Good luck.

Keri’s look is so uber wack. I waited a LONNGG time for her album to drop and it was disappointing. But anyway, homegirl is wack-city. lol
1. keri looks the same on every damn cover
2. her style became rihana-ish after her first four singles failed to enter the pop and r&b charts
3.She sold her self to be ghetto because her good gurl image that Timberland created for her wasn’t working outside the Timberland duets.
4. she lost alot of credability when she dissed Beyonce.
5. Neyo was on good day new york and the newescaster said YOU have a new song out featuuring Kanye West right….Neyo in return said, well actually its a Keri Hilson song and West and Myself are featured on it. The newcaster seemed confused.
6. She can not produce a hit record on her own. Turning me off featured Lil Wayne and Knocked Me Down featured West and Neyo…Slow dance was released and it flopped major on both Pop and R&B charts.
7. This business is so frickle and when you have the status of someone like Keri you have to keep bringing the albums back to back to soildify your name in the industry. Example Rihana kept bashing out the albums and she is not a major contender in the industry inthe states and nationally.
8. Good songs dont keep yoou in the inustr anymore your work ethics is a must and she doesnt seem to have it has bad.
9. Her longevity in this industry is not promise, but she will continue to be a great writer.
10. I mean really who is checking for this chick anyway, she turned me off on the BET awards last year when she was doing a tribute for the KING MJ and then starting doing ELVIS…WTF was that….uuughhh…next….
@Dame is it really that serious, I’m a Keri Hilson fan and think that everyone indeed is entitled to their own opinion but when you start stating false claims and comments that are personal rather than an opinion you began to sound like the rest of the stans whoever you may be one for but damn you took the time out to think it through thoroughly and type it out..LOL
