The grammy performances (and WINS) are supposed to translate into next week sales of her perfume which the powers that be are heavily invested in. She has failed to deliver them the diamond+ record sales which PIMP promised so they are trying to recoup their heavy investments (photo shoots, air brushing, ad placements) one way or another and NO I won’t be lining any SUITS pockets, they have enough money anyway.

Umm I hate to get involved but it is VERY rare for rnb acts to go platinum in the US. Considering Beyonce started in 03 and sold 4 mill in the US which Britney did 2 years prior is ok I guess. I think maybe if Beyonce was around in the 1990’s dropping solo cds she could of gone diamond but both artists albums decline in the US by the year.

i think MOST artists decline album sales by the year. it increases as (or if) you get bigger in your career towards your peak, but once you hit that, either you hold steady sales or go on a bit of a decline. it happens. doesnt necessarily change your popularity or anything.

They only do that with their top selling artists. And Bey is one of them. If she’s a sales disappointment than every other artist in her lane is also.
