Alicia Keys released her new album ‘The Element of Freedom’ today and has been promo-grinding. One of her television tour stops was a visit to the David Letterman show where she took to the stage to perform current single ‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’:
Scandal or no scandal, Alicia is a very talented artist. She delivers great performances (and quality music). I really hope her album gets its just dues this week. That’s not true about R&B music. Look how well Maxwell and Whitney Houston did this year. Both sold Platinum in very short time. Maxwell’s music is far from contemporary but he sold like hot cakes.

Sadly, this scandal is overshadowing her music. Her singles are not doing good on the charts. In the end how much did her freedom with a married man effect her musical career?
Yeah her album aint doing well yet its already #1 on the Us iTunes charts! Lol! Plus shes doing extremely well overseas album-wise!

I have faith in alicia talents, but i also think alot of people lost faith in her because of her personal life. 200-400k 1st week is my prediction.

200-400k is good, but Alicia is above only good. Susan Boyle sold 700k and to this day I haven’t heard not one single.

SAD to say..but I love this song..even tho’ I don’t like what I hear about her and Swizzy….Im trying to seperate the scandal from her music…and really enjoy it..BUT EVERY TIME I hear this song..I feel like its a mockery to Mashonda…Just speaking from a woman’s point of view. So it’s kinda messed up at the same time..lol..but Im not buying the album, You hear it enough on Myspace, and everywhere else….Thanks to the internet…people REALLY don’t need to buy cd’s anymore…lol.
Does anyone knows the whole story and the truth about what has happened btw Alicia Keys, Swizzy and Mashonda? No. So until ppl know all sides 2 the story, we can’t judge. All we know is that they are together and Swizz has not been with Mashonda for 2 years now…lets get all the facts first not one or two of them.

But Beyoncé get’s caught in lies all the time so she is phony. Alicia keeps most of her life private too. I like her and it builds interest for Alicia…
